Day After New Year’s Dinner

During the lead up to Thanksgiving, our local supermarket which carries Boar’s Head Sweet Slice® Ham, had a demo in store of the spiral cut Whole Ham with their Brown Sugar and Spice Glaze, WOW, really good!  But alas, I was not cooking our Thanksgiving meal this year.  Hmmm, what about for New Year’s?  I asked if they had any a few days before NYE, but all they had were the uncut hams.  Okay, so I bought an end piece, a little more than a pound and a half in size; that should do just fine for us two.

Instead of the Boar’s Head Glaze, I opted for something with touch of citrus, I made:

Brown Sugar-Ponzu-Ginger Glaze

2 Tbsp. packed, Brown Sugar

1 Tbsp. Ponzu

1 tsp. fresh, grated, Ginger

Combine all of the above in a small bowl and spread on Ham, Pork Chops, Fish, Seafood or Chicken.  This recipe makes enough for about 1 pound of the meat.

Served alongside were Betty Crocker™ Scalloped Potatoes, I must have this with Ham; Haricot Vert, and Pillsbury® Crescent Rolls (my husband’s favorite).
