Hauoli la hanau, Happy Birthday. On this day in 1959, Hawaii became the 50th State of America.
In honor of this occasion, I’ll be making Guava Chicken and Fried Rice for our supper.
I brought back some frozen concentrate Guava Juice from Hawaii this past may, mostly because I can’t find it here in the middle of the desert 😀

I find Hawaii’s Own juice at Fry’s in Sun City West, Albertsons and Winco in Surprise. In fact Albertsons had it 10 for $10 so my freezer is stocked!

Some time back I had sent an email to Hawaii’s Own and asked where I could find the Guava Juice, but the greater Phoenix area is a a bit far a field for us. I can get Strawberry Guava and even POG, but that’s just not the same … 😀
